I noticed I was starting to be able to fee the frets sticking out a bit on my new solid mahogany Ohana so decided to get a hygrometer to see what the actual humidity is in my house. I found it is running between 15% and 20% so I got the Oasis case humidifier which just arrived. The case is not deep enough to use the metal clip it comes with and there is no real decent place to use the taped one either due to the case lining material. So I have laid it in the case as shown in the pic and it kind of wedges in there and does not move.

Is this OK to do?

A little confused. I have one and it came with a plastic thing that holds it in the body. By wedging it in like that it will move since it will de-hydrate and become smaller. That being said it should be OK. even if it does move a round a little

I have a small case humidifier that I wedge in a case in a similar fashion. I also sewed a small bag for it out of an old winter sock. Still humidifies the case, and if it springs loose in the case, no harm done.
