New Nyltech strings sound great on spruce top, T2 strings not so much, Sound samples

Tried the new D'Addario concert strings (Nyltech and T2 Titanium) on a Boat Paddle 12-Fret, spruce top concert.

The T2 Titanium strings I tried first. They sounded just too bright for this uke. The spruce top makes things pretty bright to begin with, so the T2 strings were not the right set. Even the sustain seemed a little lacking. The strings were stretching for weeks, and tuning varied a lot. It always needed to be re-tuned. Intonation was not perfect.

So after a couple weeks off went the T2s and on with the warm, mellow Nyltech set. I think this may be the perfect set of string for this uke. Great intonation, keeps tune (even after only a couple days), clear note definition, great sustain. I found the sound of these strings more pleasing than the T2 set. NylTechs are more smooth (mellow) but similar to Aquila Nylgut, in having a full rich tone. I'll definitely be getting more of these NylTech strings.

The uke came with Worth CL strings, which actually sounded pretty darn good, maybe I will go back next string change to flurocarbons : Worths or SouthCoast.

The Worths, to my ears, may have sounded the best, followed closely by the Nyltech strings. I did not like the sound of the T2s. You probably could not go wrong with the Worths or the Nyltechs.

I'm using the Nyltech's on my Beansprout Banjolele. Love them, a perfect fit for it!

I just put nyltech on my beavercreek concert. The tone is so much better than the stock strings that come with it. The nyltech has a creamy tone to the strings. So it isn't white like some strings, but more light yellow brown coloured.

Also I am using a classical guitar G nylon string for my low G. (It works) Also I like how it blends with the nyltech.

I have to agree with csibona that the Worths sounded the best. I will go out on a limb and say a "lot" better, but with the Nyltech coming in second.

I think that the worths sounded the best, but I would put the T2's in second but I'm kind of biased towards them so yeah Honestly, I don't know if I like bright sound or warm sound better.

The Titanium EJ87S and EJ87C for Soprano and Concert, how is the tension on those prepackaged sets. I seen that the gauges on some strings are actually correlating with the T44 extra hard tension on some strings and wondering if the tension is high. I seen past posts that the single strings were coming from the T45's but this was before these sets came out so I am worried that this increase tension might ruin my Kanile'a.

Personally I like the Worth on that ukulele. I have T2s on one of my Tenors and I like them on that particular ukulele. But I tried them on one of my concerts and intonation seem a little sharp on the C and E strings
