In the USA we abbreviate using month, day, year. Today's date is 3.14 and many of my coworkers are having fun celebrating the day.

Here's a link to Pi song you might enjoy.

That snipet is from Hard 'n Phirm's song:

I used to have it as a ring tone. Anyone got tabs for it? ;)

Happy pi day!

Rounding is for losers. I learned all of the digits.

I was going to say, if you've learned all the digits you'd better put it in the present tense, "I'm learning all the digits."

When I was in high school I had a friend who memorized pi to a couple of hundred decimal places. Correction, let's be honest and call him an acquaintance... LOL

Hello OldePhart,
Your thread reminded me about an olde joke which may seem appropriate to some of us who are not getting any younger. HaHa! The story goes ........
Jimmy comes home from school and granny asks..."What did you learn today?"
"I learned how to calculate the area of a circle granny"
"How do you do that?"
"Why you use ( Pi r2 ) (square) granny"
"You go back to that teacher and tell him I says pie are round, cake are square":)

Yep, that's one of those oldies but goodies, kinda like us.

In the math department office today at Mount Hood Community College, there were a few sad looking pieces of day-old pie. A faculty member said, "Did you have any pie?" I said, "I've got home-made chocolate chip cookies, so none for me." She said, "But it's Pi Day pie." Since today was the fifteenth, I thought "Bah, that's just an approximation of pie."
