anyone know how to get rid of it? when im browsing, they popup (duh), my security software doesnt even pick it up

if your using internet explorer click on
tools > internet options > privacy tab > click turn on pop-up blocker

i am using firefox, the popups open themselves in ie

If the popups are still appearing in your ie, sounds to me like you primary browser is ie. You need to make Firefox your primary browser. As far as popups, try using adaware and spybot. I believe both programs are free.
