The Pono koa series among many others from Ko'olau's Pono series will be discontinued in 2009. Just found this on the Ko'olau homepage and thought I'd let you know. So if anybody was planing on getting a Pono you better be fast

Good info for anyone looking or thinking of purchasing one. More info on the Ko'olau website. Click on the "Pono Models" in the menu located on the left column.

They still have a full line of other ponos just not the full koa body ones. The one i liked wasnt koa. So im still good . . . sorta =P

I wonder if the discontinued ukes will increase with value in the long run. Looks like my mango cutaway tenor w/ pickup won't be produced in 2009.
