New Barry Sholder Gourd Banjo Uke #015 "Whaler"

This is my latest offering, a Tenor size Barry Sholder Gourd Banjo Uke #015T "Whaler" This has a curly Maple neck ,17" scale Ebony fretboard,Gold Grover friction tuners and is strung with Aquila Banjo Uke String/wound 3rd. The peghead has an inlaid curly maple humpback whale the has burned details. The gourd that measures 7 1/2" dia x 4 1/2" deep has a 2 1/2" sound port that boost the bass response. As with all my banjos the interior has been fiberglassed for durability and better acoustics. The gourd is covered in goatskin and has a hand-inked scrimshaw style rendering of the old days of whale hunting. The head has also been treated with ScotchGuard to protect and weatherproof.
