any used red morrell?

I've had a nice piece of red morrell fall in my lap, enough to build a few ukes if it's suitable. I'm not finding much info online but if it's no good for back/sides then maybe I'll move it along to a wood turner who would appreciate it.
Anyone worked with it before?

Not sure if the Australian one is the same you are talking about. The Aussie one isn't suitable in my opinion.
