A wonderful blues song, from a recording by Clara Smith - a GREAT singer from the 1920s' 'classic' blues era. She was known as the 'Queen of the Moaners', and made some absolutely delightful recordings, supported by the sublime guitar playing of Lonnie Johnson, among others.

are they gettin better or am I lovin you more brother... this is perfect. per.fect.

love them old blues tunes, and you Dr, know how to deliver um:)
Thanks,

Don

Wow! I'm lovin that! Any chance you could forward the tab/chords (or at least point me in the right direction)? C-tuning?

Thanks,

Ohiopicker

the bari is tuned DGBE so to translate the song to re-entrant tuning from doc's key of "F" means you'll be playing in the key of C on your GCEA tuned uke

(F7)there's a new game(Bb7), (F7)can't be (Bb7)beat
you (F7)move every(Bb7)thing, ex(F7)cept your feet Lord
you (Bb7)whip it to a jelly
and stir it in a (F7)bowl
you just (C)whip it to a jelly
(C7)if you like good jelly (F7)roll(Bb7)(F7)(C7)

I think that's pretty close, doc will soon correct if it's wrong...

Eugene's chords here are what the GCEA ukes will SOUND like if you copy the exact shapes I play on the baritone. On the baritone it's the key of C. Good luck with the song, and do check out the original on spotify or somewhere...
