I had some news from the coverplate manufacturers - check this out before it goes to plating to have its antique bronze finish...

I am so very pleased with this - the hand rest is removable making setup easy and the smal row of stars in the south of the photo are the string retainers. Can't wait to recieve these...
 
Nice...I like the string holes done as stars too. Do you plan on selling these parts?
 
The removable palm rest is a great idea and I've been trying to get one for my dobro like instrument for a long time. Makes it easy to work on stuff and it works great for playing; palm blocking and that sort of thing
Very nice looking Pete! I like the plain brass but they are just too hard to maintain
 
Yep, noticed. Paul Beard used to offer them unplated. I've seen some nice covers that were powder coated.
Something I found interesting, Beard is now offering a resouke.
 
Sadly looks just like a small version of his guitars - a mistake most guitar makers make when venturing into the ukulele market place. Still I suppose his name will sell them.
