Paradise Ukulele?

I assume you saw the one for sale on craigslist? I was wondering what the deal was it as I've never heard of Paradise before. Interested to see what turns up.

Yes that's the one. I contacted the seller and she swears its made here in Hawaii. I have researched online and can't find any info.

Well, I've found a little... not much though. From what I can tell Paradise Ukulele and Guitar Works, Ltd. was in business from 1917-1926 (as listed in the Honolulu City Directory for that time period). I don't know anything more than that.

The listing sounds like she bought it at Music Mac in Aiea, which has closed. It doesn't really make sense unless she bought it used...

I can confirm I got a brand new Paradise uke around 2007 for christmas. Iam pretty sure it was purchased from music mac in Kane'ohe windward mall but it has since been shut down as well. Iam not too certain about others but this Paradise UKE sounds beautiful. Its construction is of really good quality. Still plays like the morning i first took it out of the case no new strings or anything. I love it and for me personally i feel it sounds better as it ages. Id definitely pick another one up if i ever got the chance its special to me. Thats all i know tho i only got this 1 uke and dont look around for ukes much so i dont got much to compare to just experience owning one.

Bought a Paradis Uke in Sonoma County, CA flea market

This is my first post here - just joined - but I was so glad to find this thread about Paradise Ukes. I found this little beauty at a flea market near Sebastopol, California a couple years back. I loved it from the moment I saw it and had to have it, but I've never been able to find much info on its origin. The box it was in said Koa, but it's obviously a laminate. It is a sweet little uke and I'll play it the rest of my life, but would love to know where it came from. Hopefully the attachments make it through. Just came back from a trip to Kauai where I was talking to the very nice Kamoa Uke folks, and Gigi there said the only records she could find showed it as some mass-produced piece, but whatever, I love it. Aloha!

I just found this one today at a Goodwill store.
