What does this mean:

Tuning = drop Db C# g# c# f# a# d# ?

(Edit*: Whoops, probably should've put this in "Guitar help")

If you know what the different tunings are, it's a Drop D tuning, but then an extra half step down.

If you don't know, the tuning is called a Drop Db(drop because it's going lower and a D flat). You tune your biggest string(what's usually the E above the A) to a C sharp, then the string below that into a G sharp, then the string below that into a C sharp, and so on and so forth.

Used by many blues guitarists and others who play with a horn/brass section - playing in E on the sax is a major trial and playing in Eb can really freak you out if you are used to straight key (I know this from playing in a jazz band) ... and most jazz compositions are played in flat keys. Stevie Ray vaughan and Hendrix used this tuning and so do I - it suits my vocasl range better especially playing in B.
