Hi i Have an old Favilla Baritone that was my grandpa's. i wanted to fined out how old it is but there is no serial number found all i could fined was Favilla Bro's
New York N.Y. U.S.A.
tis was burned in side the sound hole. i don't think that the number could have rubbed off being in side the uke. i was wondering if there was a certain time favilla started using serial number so i could get an idea of ho old this uke is
Thanks

As I recall, the first baritones were made around 1950.

This article claims that Tom Favilla is willing to field questions. Give it a try.

Thankyou. i will put up pictures and look in the this when i get a chance.

I have one to but I don't believe there is anyway to date them but I did see somewhere if Favilla is stamped on the back of the headstock then it is an earlier one. That's what I read anyway.
