I can hardly contain my excitement! (Well, clearly, I can't contain it, because here I am sharing it!)
I'm a big lover of cigar-box instruments, and the brand of hobo-determination that they represent... and I've admired Tom Guy's Bluegrass Ukuleles in particular, both on his website and on YouTube, for some time. Consequently, I'm super-excited that Tom just shipped out a cigar box tenor yesterday, and it's winging it's way from Kentucky to California right now! I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm primarily a soprano player, and have been a exclusivley a re-entrant player, so there'll undoubtedly be some adjustment period, but I'm looking forward to it.
Here's a link to the uke on Tom's site: CigarBoxTenor (http://www.bluegrassukes.com/special-tenor-for-ernie-gilbert/)
and here's a couple of pics, for those who don't feel like clickin'!

Beautiful Ukulele!
I wouldn't mind having one in soprano.

Tom and his father make some very, very nice playing and sounding ukuleles. I am sure this will be a pleasure for you to play.

Well, so far, looking at the photos every 40 minutes or so makes me happy, so actually playing it will be a bonus!
