My wifes tanglewood concert has developed a rattle on the headstock, its something loose on the machine heads, I've tried tightening up the screws but they are all really tight and it only helped a little bit, If I put 2 small but strong elastic bands across the tuning pegs bits where the strings wrap around (the to top of the headstock not the back where the pegs are) the the tension on the elastic bands seems to almost fix it but not totally and it looks terrible.

I'm thinking maybe I should just bite the bullet and put a nice expensive set of pegs on it, i really like the Light weight Gotoh UK700 tuning heads 1:15 ratio that came on the Maton, how much will a set of those cost me and where can i order some ?

I think i will get a luthier to have a look at it, I know it's a lot of trouble to go to for a cheapish laminate uke but it is Mrs Webbys' and she loves it so I have to keep that love alive if I want to keep getting permission to buy more ukes :)

I've never swapped out Machine Heads before, how hard is it ?
