I remember reading some mnemonic device for remembering the tuning for Ukes, but I can't remember what it was now.

For some reason, when I came up with one of my own, I thought, "Good Cats Eat Apples." It stuck with me. Now I think of a cat eating an apple, which is kinda weird.

I don't generally use mnemonic devices, but I just asked my husband and these are his:
Good Children Eat Anything (standard)
Do Good, Be Easy (baritone)

I never used one, but if I did I kind of like "Good Children Eat Asparagus"

"Good Cooks Eat Alot" is what I first learned, from Jody Kamisato in this video.

I just remember it as a C6 chord.

But if I had to come up with a mnemonic, how about "Gary Cooper enjoys acting"?

Genesis Corinthians Ecclesiastes Amos....

but only if you're not in a hurry :p

I have just spent a moment trying to work out which note the M in "My Dog Has Fleas" stands for. I have never had the need for a tuning mnemonic.

Go Call Every Alligator!

Good Cats Eat All

(Though sometimes I find myself singing Jack Donaghy's "This Guy Might Suck" from 30 Rock)

Good clowns earn applause

Since GCEA is the four notes of a guitar capoed at the fifth fret, strings one through four on the guitar I use Guitarists Can Easily Adapt. I got this from a Gerald Ross Youtube video.
