Hi I have purchased a set of Tenor Ukulele strings GCEA, Make are D'ADDRIO Pro-Arte Tenor. J71. Clear nylon. packaging states
1st-0.0285 2nd-0.0327 3rd-0.0410 4th-0.0290

Items recieved inside packet

j4401. E-1st 0.029 hard Tension
j4602. B-2nd 0.033 hard Tension
j4603. G3rd 0.041 hard Tension
j4401 E-1st 0.029 Extra hard Tension.

In my reckoning these are not a set for GCEA Tenor ukule. I may be wrong please advise me as seller states it is. And if i have further questions take it up with 'ADDRIO. I have only had my Tenor ukulele a fortnight (upgrade from soprano) and do not want to make any silly mistakes.

Regards

They are correct - this should help.... http://www.daddario.com/DADProductDetail.Page?ActiveID=3769&productid=264&productname=J71_Pro_Arte_Ukulele__Tenor

They are actually guitar strings packaged together for the ukulele - that is why you are seeing some different letters and numbers on the individual packages.

I think that has always been the case, the outer packet says ukulele strings, but they send you guitar strings that have different guages. I think the inner envelopes even say guitar strings on them.
I have never been a fan of those strings for that reason.

Thanks for your quick response, panic over will fit new strings and annoy the wife.

Cheers
