Howdy folks,
Just strung this one up last night. In case it's not obvious, this is a ukulele, not a guitar. The profile comes from a Gibson Les Paul guitar, shrunk down to 80% normal size. I chambered the body to reduce weight, and added an F-hole. It's not very loud acoustically, and the f-hole is a real pain, so I'm going to leave it off of the next version...
The body and neck are mahogany, the top is maple, and the fingerboard and headstock veneer are indian rosewood. Finish is nitro lacquer. This is also my first burst.
It has two piezo pickups, one at the neck, and the other under the bridge. Right now they're both wired to the jack, but I intend to add a 3 position switch as soon as I get one. I might add a preamp and volume control too.
A customer/friend suggested I call it the "Less Paul" because of it's size.
Thanks for looking,
Phillip
