Hello.

I'm curious and I'm not a wood expert.

I was wondering what wood was used on the Harmony Baritones. Is it solid? It looks like mahogany, but I'm not sure if is so.

Thanks!

I have a Harmony Baritone. It is Mahogany and it is solid wood. It's a great player.

I love my Harmony. It sounds wonderful. They are well-built and are solid mahogany.

Back in the 60s-70s there were Martin, Favila, Vega, and Harmony baritones. All were well built, great players, and solid mahogany. Way before laminates and Tiny Tim.

At least the Martin's, Favila's, Vega's and Harmony's got better with age......did Tiny Tim ;-)

I love my Harmony baritone. I paid $75 for it several years ago, far less than what an equivalent uke would cost new. It is solid mahogany and has a rich, warm tone.
