Looks like two universities have it in their holdings. If you know a college student, professor, employee, etc with interlibrary loan privileges, you might be able to get it that way. Some (but not all) local public libraries can do this as well.
The new book doesn't cover everything in as much detail, as it covers everything up to the modern era, but it does contain an updated chronological list of early (prior to 1920) luthiers. It also has something John's book didn't: a checklist of early (again, prior to 1920) 'ukulele methods and songbooks.
Very cool! I've been collecting these for awhile. Hard to find in Illinois, so I don't have a ton, and I seem to get out bid on ebay whenever they pop up
