Hello All,
I finger pick a DGBE baritone uke with thumb and index fingers only. I can't get used to thumb or finger picks so don't use them so far. I get sufficient volume from the index finger on the first and second higher strings and on the third string with my bare thumb.
But, I can't seem to get enough volume from the lowest D string with my bare thumb. I have to really dig into the string to get enough volume to match the other 3 strings and sometimes forget to dig and it gets lost in the mix.
I've tried a couple of other brand strings other than the Aguilas I use.
Any suggestions other than a thumb pick or electric pick up?
