With a Kindle Fire box and a few parts, I constructed the "Kindle Fire Ukulele". It has a concert scale, slotted headstock, and a zero fret nut. A sink drain cover was used as a sound hole cover. The cardboard box was reinforced internally with wood braces and the outside was coated with polyurethane.

Silly? Yes. But nevertheless a fun weekend project using materials saved from the trash.

nice. I guess you can use the kindle to look up some 'tablet'-ure yuk yuk yuk

Impressive!

This video made me laugh! Love the ingenuity. And I also consider this a challenge to one day make my own uke from some other sort of silly or whimsical materials!

The important point is you have achieved your goals. Very good idea.
