View Full Version : Tuning peg screws for a vintage Martin uke

one of the guys in my club has just purchased a Martin uke, however he hasn't got the screws for the tuning pegs (friction tuners), does anyone have any ideas from where he could purchase the screws please

When I bought my Martin Style 3, a couple of the screws were stripped out. I asked here, and hmberg gave me the info I needed. They are 2-56 1/2" panhead screws, and should be available at any hardware store. Some tuners might use 3/8" length, but they'll all be 2-56 threads. They come in either Phillips or slotted versions, but the regular slotted ones are more period-correct.

Yes, I got a bunch of these at a local Ace Hardware. They have them in specialty hardware as miniature screws. You can also buy them on line here:
