So I'm away a while, always wanting an Ohana SK25-Z since I love Ohana. and when I was looking, everyone had sold out and so I forgot about it.

Now I check back into uke world, and see SK25zs are back in stock but with--GEARED TUNERS?

Oh, the humanity!

You could always just upgrade the tuners to friction... I did it on my Kala pineapple.

If you can get past the horror of the geared tuner, you can grab my 2-month-old SK-25Z in the marketplace for a steal....

You can get by the horror of ugly, obtrusive geared tuners by going to lightweight, accurate PEGHEDS which look like wooden pegs , but really are a metal, internally geared tuner. Check what Tim says at www.ukeeku.com as a PEGHED review. See what is available at www.pegheds.net
