Hey Stan, if all goes well, I'm leaving Seattle Tues night, July 3rd.
I'll be celebrating with some friends who are also celebrating their 40th
wedding anniversaries this summer.

When I see you I hope to be able to play that beautiful uke! I'l have
to see what my sister has in mind re: care for my mom and dealing with
the attorney and fixing up the house....

Hope to see you in a few weeks :)

keep uke'in'

Both pretty tremendous instruments....

So 808, yours is string though, while Stans has bridge pins. Does that make a huge difference in the resonation of the top? I have one string-through (Waverly Street), and the rest are either the classical tie, or knotted before pulling through the bridge, and I'm not sure of any resonation difference. I was planning getting bridge pins whenever I get a custom uke, but I'd like to know what others think.

This one I made. See the thread here:

http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?64741-006-Mahogany-Tenor-Under-Way

I don't want to hijack this thread; I was just making fun of myself for apparently stealing my label off of Stan's good lookin' shirt!

Aloha Kakou,
As per Stan to keep his mystery status, I posted this one.....sorry gang.
@Kurt, there IS a belief that string through helps transfer the vibrations better for more resonation. I chose that method for aesthetics.
@uncle Rod, I'll miss you by 12 days. Your family is in Palolo? Have a safe and fun trip.

Beautiful ukes guys! What tuners did you put on your slotted headstocks?

Aloha mo9090x,
Willie uses Grover 18:1 tuners. It does the job perfectly.

Good friends and great new ukes...what a day!

Both of those ukes are beautiful, and now Stan's ordered a tenor and Bo's ordered a concert, right?

Aloha Ginny,
I DID inquire about a build date. Have ideas for my concert for which I'm putting together a build list which includes woods, bindings, hardware, and of course, designs. Again looking for something different. Some things may be carried over form the tenor, worked and looked so well.
As for Stan, he showed me some of his ideas and I'm excited as well. I'll just have to wait and see.
PM me if you're on Facebook for more pix of my uke(s)..............................BO............ ..........
