Very nice! 
But I wonder how much your strumming might brush against the tuners (since they are so close to strum zone) and cause a problem.

When I play this uke, I'm naturally strumming between the 12th and 15th frets (there are 17 frets total). If you wanted to play down by the bridge, it would be a problem. For my playing style and forearm length, they don't get in the way at all.

I did take inspiration from the "Ultra-Light Ukulele" by Traveler Guitar (number of frets, configuration of tuners), along with the Risa Uke (general shape, pickup design). I could have simply purchased one of these ukuleles, but where is the fun in that?
