Aloha 'Oe - Slide Ukulele

Thank you John.
An experienced uke player like you can learn to slide easily.
I slide directly over the fret wire for correct intonation.
Take a big glass slide, dampen the strings with both hands.
I use thick carbon plecs ( Techra 1,00 ).
I always play in open G tuning ( D G B D' ), same cadences as open C or open A.

Many, many years ago, I played bottleneck, and your playing is really nice and clean. Any one trying this for the first time should be prepared to hear the slide on the frets as you play. After a while, you can sound like Friendly Fred after much practice.

Sweet! :)

Thanks for the tips, Fred! There's a song I want to try that could use some slide uke! I gotta get me one of those glass slides!
