A veneered end block!

Just had to do it because through the sound port, this would look really ugly remaining as it were a birch ply block. Oh and notice the completely over the top solid ebony linings... I kinda lost my way a little bit this week :)

hahah- I noticed on Allen's site his laminates the side scrap onto the endblock which I thought was a great idea- matching the grain lines.

It's a nice look, and I try and do it whenever I have enough material from the sides left over.

Ooo err - I thought I was being a bit eccentric but hey Allen, must be the heat down under :) And Chris - those are the exact ones you will be working on in October. Still need your dates and I don't run the workshop on Sunday so you get a day to scale Snowdon!

Here is some wild Macassar, not nearly as formal as the sides you have now, but pretty nonetheless.
