A little while back I posted about some secrets I couldn't tell. First, LoPrinzi is coming out with their own line of Fluorocarbon Strings! Second, they have come out with some nice little percussion shakers. When LoPrinzi makes their high end guitars, the extra woods from cutting gets made into ukuleles, when they make ukuleles the extra wood left over gets made into these little things:

They should sound pretty good. Thom Dawg had some similar ones that he makes at UWC this year - definitely a different sound from most of the stuff out there - even different from my wooden egg shaker.

its funny how things sometimes happen in one place far far away (Like New Haven MO) and another person pretty far away does the same thing at the same time. Not that either copied eachother either. Just a collective idea across a long didtance. At UWC I got a Koa Ebony shaker from Thom Dawg made from scrap wood of Boat Paddle ukes.
