I went to the Rolland Fiddle Camp this week in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of Colorado for their Southern Appalachian clawhammer banjo curriculum. While there I had the privilege of introducing world class musicians to the versatility of the ukulele. I was even asked to give an impromptu workshop.

Here is one tune I performed with violinist Tanya Huang. "Alacran y Pistolero" from the Desperado movie trilogy. It is an iPhone recording but all the performances were recorded on better cameras and will be edited in the future and made available on their site.

very cool, Tim - you guys sound wonderful.... sounds like a good time, as well - interesting stuff and it's great you got the chance to do a little ukulele teaching and love-spreading.... can't wait to hear a good recording, be sure to let us know when it's available.....

Yes, excellent! like Malaguena Salerosa (another cool tune)...

Thanks peeps,

I think it's an awesome combination. I hope to find a violinist here in Austin to jam with.

Angus, I have a version of that song, too! Harmony riffs and all.

Wow sounds great.
