Roy Smeck - Rustic Fandango

I think there are 2 or 3 left to record... Nice little book with simple tunes to learn the picking, higly recommanded.
There is another method by Roy Smeck on the net, different one, but I don't know if there are tabs in it, or just songs with chords...

(the one I have is this one, I think it is from 1928 (I read this somewhere, but don't know if it is true)

That is a beautiful pineapple. Love Gerard G's Design. Great picking too.

How does your book compare with the Mel Bay Reproduction. Is it a different book? Here's some sample pages: http://ukesessions.com/?p=6

I'm currently reading his biography and becoming quite fascinated by him.

Great book!-that was the first one I learned from back in the late '80's-It was my grandfathers! I like the song Boy Scout Hike-I teach it to my students:

Oh nice version, I played it too, but more in a "classical" way ;-)

It is not the same book... ;-)

As I played the tab with a C tuned uke, it is one tone lower...

That's exactly what I did for the video. I really like your version of Rustic Fandango-I'd love to hear your version of Boy Scout Hike too!

Very pretty Val, I'm going to have to learn that technique... Sweet sounding uke, too!

Lovely work indeed Val, a stunning instrument and very sweet playing mate.
