Zoom has announced a new sound/video recorder to be available in August 2012. It's gonna be about $100 cheaper than the Q3HD w/a few features that make it an interesting choice. Here's Zoom's detailed page:

- Separate mini-USB to standard USB cable
- "mid-side" Microphone configuration
- Direct USB streaming of video & audio
- Direct Mic/Video for iPad or computer
- Landscape or portrait viewing via the LCD
