The UPS person delivered my birthday present today. An Iriguchi ukulele. I decided 50 was a milestone birthday and so I asked Dave Iriguchi to build one of his ukes for me. The process took about 6 weeks. Dave's signature ukes have a "keystone" shape, similar to a pineapple. My tenor is all maple. The top and back are blonde curly maple, the sides are birdseye maple, and the neck is maple too. The body is built slightly shallow, not nearly as thin as a Kala travel uke. So far I am pleased with my present! A photo abulm can be seen here.
