More Myrtle Diversity

Here are six tenors that are all made of myrtle. Check out the incredible diversity! I am happy to say that the tap tone of each pre-finish is within a half step of each other. It is so inspiring to work with a "local" wood that is this beautiful and satisfying. I think that only facebook users can see this picture, sorry!

What is the light-colored fingerboard made of?

Went thru for me Aaron. The top middle reminds me of my bluepond myrtle tenor so picked it. You guys get better and better.

The light colored fingerboard is bird's eye maple.

I see you got your bridges changed. Are you using that style on all sizes? They look good

We are using that bridge on concert-tenor-baritone. The sopranos are smaller. They are a new custom design and I think they are a big improvement!

As amazing as the wood is, having the opportunity to play a sampling of mya moes at the Denver Ukefest, I was most impressed with the silky smooth effortless playability.

I picked my Myamoe tenor resonator for the interesting figure in the myrtle body. It was one of the first ones Gordon and Char made and it is still one of my favorite players. Great tone; I now have Guadalupe strings on it which adds even more depth to it's sound.
