Anyone with any thoughts on these ukes? I always worry when considering an instrument when I can't find a single review of them anywhere...

In particular I am looking at the solid Acacia Tenor on the Ukulele.DE store (the RISA shop).

At about £180 UKP equivalent that seems too good to be true for an all solid acacia tenor uke? The next comparable I know of is the all solid acacia Kala, which is about £100 more expensive. What gives?

Any first hand experience with them?

And there's my problem... Nobody?

Translation of that forum page suggests they ain't that good. Quality issues.

Uke stick

I own a RISA Ukulele Stick. I use it for when I travel and have nothing but good things to say about the build qualities and it's durability.

Try contacting the Ukelites. They're from Germany so might have their finger on the pulse. They're on the forum and do some fantastic stuff though they don't use RISA ukes as far as I know.

I've spoken to people in DE - its not quite what the advertising suggests. Made in generic Portugal factory, alongside cordobas etc. quality control and finish issues. I'm not taking a chance.
