Greetings!

I really like the wide fret board on my Fluke ukulele. I'm looking for a manufacturer that makes a wooden uke with the same fret board width. Someone on the forum said Kiwaya has a wider fret board like that of the flukes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Frank

Not sure of the width either, but Brüko makes pretty chunky necks. They're not as flat on the back as a flea, though.

Kanilea tenor!

(or the Islander if that price is too steep)

hey Frank, talk to the fellas at Covered Bridge ukuleles. 1.5" at the nut and they are wonderful sounding instruments.

My eleuke has a really nice chunky neck, it feels the comfiest in my hand of all my ukes.

Aloha,
There are many ukes with an 1 1/2 inch nut width. Take a tape measure with you next time at a music shop or store.

I've been looking and looking. So far the only ukes I've found, besides the Fluke, with 1.5" neck is the Kanilea and Kanilea Islander.

My Kamoa E3 soprano has a neck as wide as my KPK or Mainland concert.

Shouldn't we somehow merge this thread with that one?

I like my ukuleles like I like my linebackers: with, like, wide necks.
