Man, Dana. I don't know how you can pick. I saw about 10 other MM ukes this week at the JHUI in Vancouver. They all have a certain quality that makes you want each one. Btw, when are you gonna get one? You looking to snag #1K?

Fair point. Char posted that, if she had to grade it now she'd call it master grade wood. I only paid for the little upgrade in Tradition from Myrtle to Curley Myrtle. I accepted the first set of wood she suggested because there's no one I know who knows more about wood for Ukes than Char. Every coat of oil revealed more formerly secret glories. I can't wait to see it in person!

OP updated with the full inventory (so far). I'll keep updating it as other members add their names! Thanks for participating everyone. Wow there are some stunners there. Anyone got a model earlier than #250?

250? Mya-Moe and I go way, way back. I have serial number 09096 (completion date: March 6, 2009). Or, commonly referred to as serial number #96. It's a Mya-Moe Classic Tenor, Koa top, back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, maple fretboard binding, maple body binding, lacquer finish. I bought it at the Denver Uke Fest in 2010 where I could play it and take it home with me (not a custom order).

Hi, I posted my tenor, #855, in post #7 of this thread, but I am not on the full inventory list yet. I just sent my configuration confirmation email this morning. Changes now cost $100 a pop and could cost time delays. I have made several changes since I placed the order. Done now!

Aye- what an amazing undertaking- so nice to see all our beautiful ukes.
Mine (not even started yet) started with so many emails, and then one fine day, Char sent me a picture. Little curly cherry, but the curl is slight. She said "You know, I look at this and see little bird prints in the snow".
Yeah- done...can't wait till that little bird is in my hands.
I love these darn things- about to pull the trigger on one for the wife, but don't tell her :)

My first Mya-Moe, #208. It is the first concert reso, the first all myrtle uke and first with only 13 frets. I was innovating long before I worked for them! http://www.myamoeukuleles.com/uketracker.php?trackingNumber=208&submit=Track

It is very light in the photos, but is VERY dark now from exposure to sunlight, etc...

All of my other instruments are quite plain and simple. I can't bring myself to make a fancy one for myself when there are so many people waiting for their dream ukes. http://www.myamoeukuleles.com/artistDetails.php?id=20

Aaron, when I was planning my MM baritone, a striped myrtle (#669), Char suggested I consider mahogany because she thought your mahogany baritone was one of nicest-sounding baritones she'd ever heard.

aaronckeim
08-05-2012, 07:47 PM
I hated all baritone ukes until G+C built an all mahogany bari for James Hill. Most baritones are just dark and mushy, but his was deep but brilliant! I made one for myself that month and it has been my main uke ever since. #655 http://www.myamoeukuleles.com/uketracker.php?trackingNumber=655&submit=Track

I don't know why mahogany seems to be so nice for baritones, but it is!

Seems like this thread has gone a while since it's been updated. Are there any other MM's out there that need to make the list? Are there any photos to share?

Another thought... I know it would be a lot of work and I'm not even sure it's possible, but would there be any way to link Mya Moe review threads to this thread so that we can not only check out the uketracker page for each uke, but if the owner posted a review thread here on UU we could link to that as well?

Maybe just a "pie in the sky" idea :)

#973 is taking shape and will be here in about 2 weeks.
My big problem now is that I can't get any work done, because I keep refreshing the Shop Tracker, 50 times a day, hoping that the progress will be magically updated ahead of schedule.
Of course, just to keep it interesting, Gordon, Char, or Aaron have actually done some work on it ahead of schedule a few times... Thus, successfully fueling further OCD-like site refreshing and plummeting productivity! :D

My Miss Myrtle is #1092 due to hit the workbench June the 3rd. One piece Myrtle top and back. Walnut binding and rosette. Geared peghed tuners and K&K pickup. Roll on July. Just hope the UK customs are kind on its arrival.

Must have slipped the net on last update 😭

I'm in line for #1203. Should make it into my hands mid-November.

973 is beautiful. It's on my short list of favorite ukes.

We may need to add Mumford and Sons new Mya Moe ukes. This is a Youtube video of Mumford and Sons visiting the Mya Moe workshop the week of their Portland concert.

Had trouble finding this thread as it has not had any posts lately.

So consider this a BUMP and also my announcement that uke 983 will be arriving this Wednesday! I'm beyond excited. I kind of want to do a "reveal video" like I've seen some do, but I don't know if I can wait to record the opening of it since I'm getting it delivered to my work (won't be home during mail delivery hours for the next week).

Oh the dilemma...

I know it's linked on my earlier post, but here it is again!

I'm no longer expecting #1066. :(

But I am in line still. Looking forward to #1256. :))

Didgeridoo--what happened to #1066?

Smile--it took a month and a half to ship that beauty to you?

Moore Bettah happened, cool. Moved myself to back of the line. If I hadn't, #1066 would have started next week.

Why, did your house burn down or something, Chap?

No #1066? A month and a half to ship?

You guys are freaking me out.

Nope, traded away due to financial issues. Still trying to keep ahold of my other Mya-Moe, though, we'll see how it goes.

1125. A very beautiful instrument with a gorgeous Port Orford Cedar top which did not stand my strumming fingernail abuse. I've been trying to refinish it this past week, and have some clear mylar on order to protect it. It will still have a "scar", but that just adds character, right?

Feel a bit sad about the whole thing, but looking forward to playing it again.

I have just joined the Mya Moe club. Number 968 - Mango Tradition Soprano - acquired from another UUer arrived at my house today. I just changed the strings, waiting for them to settle to give it a good workout.

Number 1312 is not yet built, but it will also be mine. A Myrtle Tenor with Maple Binding, Cascade Series.

I have just added another Mya Moe tenor to the UU list. Number 641, a Koa Tradition with black binding, arrived for me today. Bought it used off Craigslist Hawaii. It's very pretty and overall in good shape, but seems to have a bit of a rattle in the strings when pushed really hard. It looks like the bridge is too low.
