I hope this inspires you...

As for the tune - it's nothing, truly a light widdle on on the uke is all.

That's a fine sounding uke! Looks sharp as well. I learn lots about building from Pete's videos and posts on the forum. Today I learned how to identify a light widdle.

You can learn all sorts of things from Pete. For instance, by listening to Pete's advice over the years I've learned that I have an uncle Bob and aunt Fannie. Who knew?

BTW, nice job as usual Pete.

Aloha Pete,
Mahalo for sharing you Uke Love and building skills there and abroad...nice playing too...Happy Strummings....
Real nice koa tenor and sounds awesome too...wow

Chuck, that new avatar pic, and moniker, makes me think you might have been spraying too much lacquer lately... Or, are you really... breaking better? I like it...

Girls like this like guys who spray too much ;)

Nice scoop Pete- i want to get into this style of cutaway.

For everyone else- The latest issue of American Luthier (AKA, GAL) has an article on how to do this as well as an arm bevel.

As for inspiration, here is my humble attempt at some- my latest butt strip

If you do and figure out a way to bind it tell me. I won't be showing this off on my website it's such a difficult thing to get right.

Yer- ill let you know how i go- Im just going to order the GAL mag to find out whatever they say (http://www.luth.org/backissues/al109-112/al110.html)-

The binding is the thing that troubles me too. could cut it by hand with a french curve or the like but it would be a b!t<h...

I noticed Michael Da Silva is doing an easier kind of 'scoop' but opts out of binding the difficult bit too.
