As the title of this thread states, this is my first time building a ukulele. This being said I have a couple of questions:

1. I ordered this nut/saddle/bridge set but have already begun constructing the neck and need to know measurements. Anny idea what the width of the nut and saddle would be? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ukulele-Bri...ccessories&hash=item3f18e2a499#ht_3760wt_1398

2. How should I go about putting in inlays? is there a way to make custom inlays or will I have to buy the dots and glue them into holes I would cut on the neck?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You should probably get a set of plans to work with. You can find a great free set here.... http://www.grellier.fr/plans.php?lang=fr Just convert from Metric. Nut and saddle widths are pretty standard across uke sizes and models so these plans will be fine.
The inlays are available pre-cut or you can make your own. StewMac or LMI or other sources sell several pearl dot sizes and a few common inlay shapes. They also sell shell blanks if you want to cut your own designs out too.
The Luthier's forum has links to many parts sellers and tons of info on building.... http://luthiersforum.com/forum/
