Hi All,
I believe this to be from the 80's (white label, older headstock design) but please advise if different. This is a great older Kamaka with no issues and excellent playability.
Reason for selling: Too many ukes right now.
Condition: Overall it is quite nice for it's age. I tried to show in the pictures the two largest marks on the front of the body. The first is long, faint mark below the bridge. You can barely feel it with your fingernail and it is only visible in certain light. Not sure if it could be buffed out. The other marks are some rough spots on the edge. Besides that there are a few small marks here and there. There is some buckle rash on the one piece back that I tried to capture. Again, for it's age, I think it's in great condition and I'm just noticing many of these marks for the first time while listing it.
The body appears to be crack free and free of any repairs. The strings slots are very narrow so they favor fluorocarbons. Currently it has Mya Moe strings on it which feel like Worth Clears. The koa on the top has a little curl to it.
The neck is straight and the fingerboard is gorgeous. I'm not sure if it's koa? The tuners work well. This is a very easy player and the intonation is excellent and there is no buzzing.
No case, but it will be packed exceptionally well. $599 shipped in the continental US.
