I'm sure you all know how torn it can be to finally decide to sell a uke that is very, very special. I had her for sale for about 1/2 hour on the 16th of July then closed the thread after re-considering. I just don't play it enough to justify having it sit around; so have decided for sure to sell.

I am the second owner. The first sold it because a long awaited build number came up. I'm sure he is regretting selling it as much as I will be. I originally bought the MM to see if I liked a radiused neck. I did and went with one on a build from Griffin Ukuleles. I play my Griffins more than the MM and it deserves to be played.

It is a beautiful, always cased. There are a few really faint nail marks that can only be seen in a very, very bright light at a certain angle. Was $2200.oo new. I'm asking 1750. insured and shipped in lower 48 states.

This is a tough thing to do but I know it needs to get where it will be played and enjoyed for generations to come. This is a very special instrument where only 13 were made and that is it.

The Uke date required photo says 7/16. If I need to post one for today I can do that. It hasn't been out of the case since then. Comes with strap and extra set of strings.

If you want additional info or photos, pm's are welcomed. This is a tough decision for sure.

No responses on the Mya Moe? Am I asking too much? This is the first uke I've put up for sale, what's missing to increase more interest? If it doesn't sell no big deal.

I know everyone would love to have it. The price is just out of reach for most folks. It's not overpriced, it is just a special instrument that requires that special someone to purchase it.

I agree. I think the price is very fair for what is clearly a premium instrument. It will need time to find a buyer, but I'm certain a buyer is out there. Until then, enjoy still having it!

I agree. It's a very fair price, and whew, what a stunning uke. But like provines said, it's probably out of most people's price range - me included.

Not to gunk up your thread, but having lived in the mandolin world so long, I'm always amazed at how inexpensive quality ukuleles are. Any mandolin under about $1000 is considered inexpensive, around $1000-2000 is considered the starting point for a quality instrument, probably $3500-5000 for a professional instrument, and then nowhere to go but up for a premium instrument or a high reputation builder. Compare that with uke prices, and you realize what bargains these little fellows are.

Frankly, I think it's because you don't have Mya Moe in the thread title. You might think about locking this one down and relisting.

If I didn't already have my dream MM on order, I'd be all over this. And for what it's worth... I think that if you know enough to want a Mya-Moe, you know EXACTLY what Blue Pond Myrtle means.

I agree that you should repost with "Mya Moe" in the title of the thread. Also, you should know that it can take a long time to sell high priced instruments on this forum. I once sold an incredible Mya Moe brazilian rosewood (which I still miss), and it took me probably over a month to sell it at a price I was happy with. Your price is totally fair and I don't anticipate that you'll have a problem selling this instrument.
