The Logical Song (Supertramp)

EXCELLENT arrangement, Jim.... you always impress me with how much of these ambitious tunes you're able to communicate in a setting for solo ukulele and this is no exception - really well played and sung, as well. This is one of my wife's favorite tunes, so I'm going to have to try and figure this one out myself......

I'm sure there's better keys for most people to sing it in. But the original key makes the intro and outro easy to play. Here's the chords. On the chorus, for the chords with the x in them play an arpeggio of the notes shown.

Code:
Intro: Cm (if using low G uke, slide thumb up G string from G to Bb)

Cm Ab Gm7
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
  Bb Ab F7
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,
joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
clinical, intellectual, cynical.

          Eb (3336) Am7b5 (5756)
There are times when all the world's asleep,
                      Ab (5346)
the questions run too deep
                  Db(x544) Fm(x543) Bbm7(x111) Db
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respecable, presentable, a vegtable!

At night, when all the world's asleep,
the questions run so deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.

Outro:

C7 Fm
C7 Fm Cm Ab C7
