Strings for a virgin uke...

My 6 string ukulele is completed and ready to string! The tuning will be ADGCEA, like a guitar with a capo at the fifth fret. Can I use a set of classical guitar strings on this instrument? It's never had strings, and I don't want to damage it.

I've built a couple "Guitalele's" with that tuning. I've used the Saverez Alliance Corums and liked them on a 17" scale.
