I got my first piece of headstock jewelry today, from MmStan on UU (thanks, Stan!) and it graces the friction tuner on my Koaloha Pineapple Soprano. Meaningful b/c it's from a UU Friend.

I got one to from my friend Stan a little while back and put it on my Pineapple Sunday tuner. I'll have to post a pic of it later. Very nice gesture. It meant a lot to me.

Heh. Every time my hair gets a little shaggy I threaten to grow a long gray pony tail and get some tats and earings...then I think about how much trouble all that would be and I go get a haircut... :biglaugh:

As for jewelry on my uke headstocks, probably ain't never gonna happen unless you count tuners as jewelry... :)

I'm thinking about tying a raccoon tail I have to my Gretsch Clarophone to give it a Jazz Age look.

All I need is a boater hat and a raccoon coat.

That's great! If I ever get a uke signed I like the idea of having it signed there.

I'm hoping the next time I'm in Hawaii I can pickup a Kamaka Baritone and have Sam Jr sign the back of that one :)

That's cute -- I haven't seen ukulele jewelry before. Does it jingle when you are playing?

Someone in my uke group has a lego ewok on his. I have a cool cat with sunglasses playing the uke but I didn't put it on my headstock, I have it on my purse so that when I am out and about without my uke people can see it and know that I am one of the proud and happy ukulele players of the world.

haha, maybe that is why they relocated from the Panthers stadium to the Bobcats arena, very fitting venue if you look at the team's stats.

My nephew likes this little surfboard because I tell him he's the only one who gets to take it off and play with it.

Got these in Honolulu from a Chinese Lady's Boutique. These are "Good Luck Charms". On my Maui Music, I put my Fiance's charm as it has a Boar to symbolize the month and year of her birth and because she lives on Maui.
On my Wixom B&D Special, I had her make one for my Fiance and I (I'm the Dog), yeah I know, ha ha. She also added other things that symbolizes Luck, Happiness, Wealth and long Life.
