Hey fellow uke players. I just bought my first ukulele yesterday. I got it online for about $40USD. Yeah, its not a lot of money, but it seemed like a good choice for my first uke. It's an Eastone soprano. Thats about all I know, dont know much about it.

The thing is the guy that works at my local music shop heard about it and he told me it's complete garbage. He has a Santana uke that he would sell to me for the same price, and it seems better, but it only seems. I wouldnt really know. So im reachin out to you others with more knowledge and see if I can get a little help.

this is the one I have.

this is the Santana one

So, should I try to get my money back for the first one and get the Santana? Or is it about the same?

Thanks in advance.

From what I have experienced a 40.00 Uke is a 40.00 Uke.
My advice is play what you got and if you like playin the Uke keep playin it while you pick up coins in the street and out of the couch to get a better one.
Then start a savings stash to get an better one then that and repeat till you think you have found the "ONE" then repeat.........

if your online order has already been processed and is on it's way to your house, it's going to cost you money to return it (postage). keep that in mind when you make your decision.

if you find your eastone playable and it works for you, screw what the shopkeeper says.

thanks a lot guys. It was really hard but I got around to tuning it. It feels good. Its good enough to learn with. Yea, I'll just get a better one when I start to play for real.

thanks again.
