Hey there!

I like to play some songs of Frank Zappa on my ukulele and kala u-bass, sometimes on a banjo ukulele or accompanied by drums and keyboard.

Camarillo Brillo (banjo uke)

Have fun! I hope you enjoy it, even if there may not be too many zappa fans around... :)

Thanks and Welcome. There are plenty of Frank fans here so the vids will definitely be enjoy.

Now that's cheapness!

Fantastic! Can you do Dinah Moe Humm for us? Please.

;) Dinah Moe Humm :p Good idea, but at first I have to work out how to interprete lyrics like that as a female singer

But there is hope: I'm working on a ukulele version of "Dirty Love". In this case, the interpretation is not that difficult...lol.

@ all: thx for your comments! I'm planning to set up a real live band with the zappa-versions for ukulele and I'm working on some other songs...I don't know if its really "noble" to turn Zappa songs into four-stringed miniatures, but it's a lot of fun (and swearing...)

You are ten men.

I have two words for this effort: Bra. Vo.

Anyone who can bring Zappa to the uke deserves to be recognized.

Oh, and after Dina Moe Humm maybe you can tackle Joe's Garage?

Cosmik Debris was particularly fantabulous.

Many thx spookefoote, both for the explanation and your great compliment! *blush*
And many thx to all of you! :) That's really encouraging, because I want to put it on stage and I always have doubts...perhaps at the "Zappanale"-festival next year?!!! http://www.zappanale.de/

Great stuff. Peaches en Regalia is on my wish list of things to get around to learning on uke.

Hi there,
in the meantime I found members for the live-band, we rehearsed for the very first time and had a wonderful weekend playing all those Zappa tunes :D

You can listen to it here - and I am very interested in your first impression! Have fun and play it loud ;-)
