Duke wrote this in 1942 based on passages from Louis Armstrong's autobiography, but the definitive recording didn't take place until nearly twenty years later when Duke and Pops met in the recording studio for the first time. My 30th season entry.

I am not a fan usually of Jazz, but,
I like the way you play Ukulele Jazz.
Thanks for this piece.
Drew.

Thanks, Drew, but I can't believe you really feel that way about jazz. Your "Sweet Pea" has a real jazz/blues feeling, not to mention your "Cheek to Cheek" and "If I Had You".

Thanks, Jon, funny you should say that, this is one of those that really got me thinking along those lines. Guess I'm due for some serious couch time. :)
