When I try to access nalu-music.com I get this message;

Error establishing a database connection

Does anyone know if it is gone? I hope not. I remember a few years ago it went down and came back.

Yup, same here. I really don't know, though, I've never visited it before.

Hey Ray-

Funny you should mention it now. I just tried to get to it a couple of days ago - no luck.

I was really sorry to see it gone. I searched his "History of the Ukulele" after that though - found and dowloaded a copy from U of H.

This happened once before, a couple years back. I messaged Debi King via her MySpace and within a day or so the site was back up... I don't have a MySpace any longer though, so this time I posted on the John King FB page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/97015089923/).

Wonder if Jim T. (http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/member.php?32284-Jim-T) can shed any light on the situation. Jim??

An update from Debi King:

On 9-15, Go Daddy sent an email to ukulele@tampabay.rr.com saying "Please accept our apology for the problems with websites..." , etc. and went on to say they thought they had implemented fixes. Today, I notified Go Daddy that Nalu Music was not up and am supposed to receive a response within 11 hours. The domain registration is paid through 2014. I don't know what the problem is; hopefully it will be up again soon.

Well, that explains it. GoDaddy was recently hacked (Anonymous claimed credit) and many of the sites they host were affected.

this website is too valuable. it should be maintained by the library of congress.
