My 1920s Gibson Uke Goes to a Party

Lovely pictures! Are these family pictures or promo pics for something?
This was just a fun party where the hosts simply set up a camera with a Wild West backdrop and had suitcases full of clothes and props - anyone who wanted could have their picture taken. We all brought food for a potluck, danced to a live acoustic band and played music late into the night. My Gibson was in several shots and I thought it would be fun to post them.

What fun! That's a cool idea for a party. One of the hosts must be into photography, I'm guessing?

Aloha Myrna,
Is that how you guard your gibson..I would too..ha ha yup nice to have a shotgun .......ha ha Happy Strummings....
PS is that you holding the Gibson...must have been a fun night. did ya have some White Lightning...hmm don't see the 4X Jug...

Aloha mmstan~
Yeah, my beater uke is a Gibson. There was a Hilo baritone there as a prop but I liked my uke better. Besides it was the right era.
And I'm the one in the white fur coat and a pheasant feather headband (and in the beaver coat in the next shot). As for the jug...it was being passed around
