Dias Mini - new design

I mentioned in another thread that I was doing a "nino" and here are the first pictures of it. It is next to my Soprano Dias. This one is 12" scale.
My playing is great on this one, so far.

The side view shows the size difference better.

Well, it's done. I've tuned it standard and up a half-step, and I prefer the standard.

theres no taper on the neck its seems like. im guessing for comfort ( stubby hands)

David, those ukes are looking absolutely stunning! You're really skilled at making that vintage look come alive with your ukes. I've nearly finished making my first uke and am starting to realize the time and effort or you luthiers put in. On a side note, I find your ukes without fret-boards (the frets directly onto the neck) the best looking. But the Dias Mini is still looking good!

1-9/16" is the width on my 1920's Martin 2M. That is the standard of all my ukes.
I can do any width, of course, but some really good players like them like this. Look at this one:

I have never seen a Martin uke with a nut wider than 1 3/8". 1 9/16" on a 20's style 2 seems strange and if you could I would like you to post a photo of it. Thanks.
