Not pretending to know everything,

Some Uke makers swear by the K&K twin spot, such as Mya_Moe, which is the "bug" type piezo pickup mentioned in the sticky. They claim it's an accurate sound reproduction. I am currently having Elderly install the twin spot on my Kanilea tenor. If it proves to not be so great, it is fairly easy to remove in which case I will have the L.R.Baggs Five 0 installed (under saddle strip). The end pin jack is the same size (according to Elderly).

My Brother has a Twin Spot installed on his Santa Cruz acoustic guitar, and I have to say it sounds fantastic. He uses an Ultrasound pre-amp, pushed through a portable PA system, and it produces an excellent reproduction of the sound of that guitar. So we'll see how well it works on the Kanile'a. As far as your particular instrument? no idea which would be the best, just as I really don't know which will be the best on mine. But I do know the K&K will be the easiest and cheapest to de-install if I have to.

The K&K's require gluing the buds inside on or near the bridge plate. The under saddle pickup requires bridge work including drilling a hole through it, and probably re-adjusting your action. Both require drilling a hole for the end jack pin.
